Citizenry is a nonprofit platform that helps people find their way into local civic life in New York City and Jackson Hole. This page states plainly what Citizenry is and what it isn't.
Citizenry is a nonprofit platform that helps you find your way into local civic life — the organizations, events, and opportunities that match what you actually care about. It currently serves New York City and Jackson Hole. Citizenry is a fiscally sponsored project of Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
What Citizenry is: Personal — you take a short quiz about what you care about and how you want to take part, and your matches are built from your answers alone. Curated — every organization is reviewed by a person, and we only list one when there's a real, current way for you to get involved. Local — each market is run separately, by someone who knows it. Free for residents, always.
What Citizenry isn't: a directory of everything — if an organization has no real way in right now, we leave it out rather than pad your results. Not a social network — no feeds, no followers, no public profiles. Not a job board. Not a political organization — we don't endorse candidates, campaign, or take positions on issues. Not an advertising business — there are no ads on Citizenry, and we don't sell your data.
